Module Summary

Throughout the Research Methods and Methodology module, I engaged in a comprehensive exploration of academic research design, ethical practice, and statistical analysis, culminating in the development of both a literature review and a full research proposal. The literature review critically examined AI-based assistive technologies for physically disabled and elderly populations, while the research proposal addressed a distinct topic: integrating machine learning for demand forecasting and personalised product recommendations in nutraceutical e-commerce. Across the module, I completed structured reflective tasks, statistical exercises using SPSS, and evaluated my own professional growth through a skills matrix and SWOT analysis. These activities enhanced my understanding of methodological alignment, epistemological awareness, and ethical accountability in applied research, while also revealing areas for continued development such as critical synthesis, advanced statistical literacy, and engagement with inclusive research paradigms.
